Nina Time

We LOVE when Nina (Auntie Misty) visits, and this time she stayed with us for a couple days.  She came down to meet little Riley, but Madison made sure that she got her fair share of attention... I don't think she left her side - haha!
Since she was here for a few days, we decided to head to the zoo!  Riley slept the whole time, but Madison had so much fun showing Nina all the animals!

These are the funniest pictures...
 we thought Madison was going to give kisses

but instead she decided to lick it... haha

She LOVED the elephants.  She hugged and hugged and hugged them some more!
The day was perfect and Madison loved spending so much time with Misty.  We love having her visit and we can't wait until we can see her again!

Mother of 2!

It's crazy to think about my past few Mother's Days

2010 = no baby
2011 = one baby
2012 = two babies

It's amazing how quickly life changes!

My morning started off like most mornings, nursing Riley while Madison climbed on her to "give kisses"
Next we headed off to one of my FAVORITE places for brunch
Old Town Mexican Cafe
yummmmm
 While the Mariachi's were singing
 Madison was dancing and clapping

After brunch we came home (for nap time) and then headed out to the park to relax and have fun.
 Riley was all snuggled up in the stroller
soon she'll be able to swing with her sister
it was a little windy - haha
After a wonderful day, it was time for some couch cuddles with my little angels
Being a mom has been the most rewarding experience.  Deven tells me all the time that I was put on this earth to be a mom and I think he's right.  I love being a mom, I love my kids and I feel so lucky to have such an amazing husband.  Our little family is the best and I couldn't imagine my life any other way.

{REWIND}
A few days earlier I drove to OC to surprise the (grand)ma's with some Mother's Day gifts and a visit from the (grand)kids.

We missed Nancy, so we had to leave her gift on the front porch
Nana was home, so we were able to visit her
Happy Mother's Day!

Agave de G-Pa!

The big day finally arrived, my dad turned 50!  My mom planned this big {SURPRISE} Cinco De Mayo 50th Birthday Party for him and it was a hit.  While Krystle and Sam took my dad surfing all morning, my mom {along w/family and friends} got the house prepped for the party.

The birthday boy walking in
SURPRISE!!

The decorations fit the occasion perfectly
 She went all out... there was live music, a taco bar and LOTS of margaritas.

 Everyone came to eat, drink and celebrate!

G-Pa's two favorite girls even joined the fun!
 Time for our present... LONG story, but from his expression, I think he liked it!
 Happy Birthday Dad!  I hope your 50th was everything you imagined.  We love you!

Cousin Cash!

We have a NEPHEW!!!
Deven and I are so excited to introduce our nephew CASH.  As I mentioned in the past, Candice (Deven's sister) and I were both pregnant and due the same day.  Cash ended up being breached, so Candice had to have a C-section and he was born 6 days early.  It was about 2 weeks later that we finally got to meet him and introduce him to his cousins.
