Week 23 (round 2)

Okay, so Deven promised to start reminding me to take a picture and here it is!  My belly is getting bigger and bigger and I'm running out of shirts to wear (that are long enough).  Unfortunately, all my maternity clothes from Madison are all summer clothes, so they are tanks, short sleeve, dresses and skirts... not many warm winter clothes.  (Yes, I know, we live in So Cal, do I really need "winter clothes"?, YES I DO, my house is freezing!!! haha)
23 weeks
How our baby's growing:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music.  With her sense of movement well developed by now, our baby can feel me dance.  And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), I can see her squirm underneath my clothes.  Every time she starts squirming I try to get Madison to feel, but I don't think she understands what she's feeling... haha

A few more weeks until we do the 4D ultrasound again.  We are sooo curious, is she going to look like Madison/Deven or will she look like me?  Will she be blonde or have dark hair?  Blue, Brown or Hazel eyes?  We can't wait to find out!!! :)

Kid City!

Usually when Deven takes a day off,  it's because we are out of town or have an event to go to, but today he took a day off and we got to just spend time relaxing as a family.  We went to Balboa Park (another favorite place of ours) and we took Madison to Kid City at the Reuben Fleet Science Center.

The best part of the day was that Deven was there.  The past couple times Madison's gone to places like this, we were in SF and Chicago (and Deven wasn't with us), so he had to just look at pictures, but this time he got be there while she played, laughed, learned and explored!
 she liked driving trucks :)
and of course playing on the computer

 peek-a-boo!
After we left Kid City, we walked around Balboa Park
love you dadda!
Such a fun day!

Christmas w/my cousins

The day after Christmas we went over to Melanie's house to celebrate Christmas with the Mancha/Carlson family.  It was great visiting especially since my sister was in town from SF, plus Madison loves playing with Gracie & Luke sooo much!
 Madison's new rain coat
Time to play!

after all that playing, they were HUNGRY!
she's such a big girl, sitting at the table with the older kids :)
Madison played a little longer before we put her pj's on and got on the road to head home... she fell asleep before we even got out of the neighborhood.  I think she had fun!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Every Christmas has been fun, but this year was the best one
(well, that is until next year - haha)
Madison woke up on Christmas morning to a sweet surprise from Santa Claus!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
kiss for my panda
kiss for my dadda!
I had to steal a kiss!
Aren't we looking gorgeous? haha
In case you are wondering about our outfits, let me explain...
For those of you who don't already know, Deven LOVES the movie A Christmas Story, and every year there is always a 24hr marathon, which we ALWAYS have to watch.  Christmas day is not Christmas day without watching that movie at least 3-4 times.

Sooooo, Deven got to open one of his Christmas gifts early (on xmas eve), and they were matching Christmas Story sleep shirts for the whole family (I even made a onesie for Riley to wear next year!).  So of course, on Christmas Eve we all wore our matching pj's and watched the movie! :)
don't we look cute :)

Both of our families came down to celebrate and there was A LOT of presents, A LOT of food and A LOT of great memories!

 the food... yummmm
 brunch
 dinner
 the table
 dessert
and then clean up time! (the apron looks cute on him huh?)

The whole day was long and hectic but full of fun!  I can't wait until next year when we get to add a few more little ones to the family!  Madison had the best time and she got soo many wonderful gifts.  Here are a few pics of her having fun!
~Merry Christmas~
