Fall Festival

A few days before Halloween our church held their annual Fall Festival.  It was an afternoon filled with food, pumpkin carving, games and a costume parade!  My parents came down for the day so they could see Madison all dressed up in her bee costume.  She had so much fun playing at the church... she didn't want to leave!
 all ready to go!

Now it's time to play house!

she even has a little stinger!

next was the costume parade :)
I like your outfit!

before we left, she had to go down the slide a few more times :)
Watching her interact with all the little kids is so much fun!  She is going to be the best BIG SISTER!

Pumpkin Patch

It's that time of year again... HALLOWEEN!!
Last year since Madison was so little, she didn't really get to participate in all the fun halloween activities, but this year was a different story!  We had so many fun fall events this year, first we got to go apple picking and next we took Madison to the Pumpkin Patch!  It was so fun watching her try to pick up all the pumpkins (her favorite was peeling the price tags off every pumpkin she saw... haha).  She loved watching all the little kids and she really wanted to go on the rides - maybe next year - she was still a little to young!

at the house getting ready to leave

Momma, I'm sooo excited to pick out my very own pumpkin!!!

"okay, I think this one is perfect!"

 "don't worry, I'll grab it "
"okay, it might be a little heavier than I thought!"
"Daddy, how about you carry it for me - thanks!"
After we picked out our pumpkins, it was time to take some fun-ny pictures!
She stood on the hay barrel and stuck her little head out all by herself!  She thought we were playing a fun game of peek-a-boo!
Deven had to help her with this one :)

we couldn't leave without taking pics with our little munchkin!
look at that little scrunch face - LOVE IT!
"I'm not gonna smile... nope, not gonna smile..."
 there's my happy girl!

Before we left, Madison had to pick out just a few more pumpkins!

Bye Bye Pumpkin Patch!  I had so much fun and I can't wait to come back next year!!

Morton Arboretum

The day before we left, we went to the Morton Arboretum, which was this beautiful park with lots of fun outdoor activities and play areas for Madison.  Since it was close to Halloween, they had a Glass Pumpkin exhibit and a Scarecrow contest around the lake!

 isn't the lake beautiful!??!
Next, was the Children's Garden

Then she found the musical flowers - how fun!

The water spout was up next and she loved it!
Before we left we thought it would be a good idea for Madison to run around in the grass (we were trying to tire her out, so she's fall asleep! haha).
time to head back to the house :)
