1st Family trip to San Fran

We took a fantastic (and much needed) 1st family trip to San Francisco and we had a blast!  We stayed in SF with my sister Misty then headed up to Napa with our favorite couple Becky and Dan (Madison got to hang out w/her auntie while Deven and I had our 1st baby free weekend).  After we got back from Napa, we got to visit more friends in SF and then did a little sight seeing before heading home.

I'm warning you that there are a ton of pictures... we were in Nor Cal for 5 days and I took sooo many pictures that I really couldn't decide which ones to include and which to remove, so be thankful that I only posted 37, because I took over 200 - haha.  I decided to break up all the pics into the 5 separate days, hopefully it will seem like less pics that way :)

Day 1 - Thursday

come on... let's get back on the road!
So our trip started out with a very LONG drive - 9 hours!!!  Madison was such a fantastic little girl, we only stopped once and she only started crying in the last 20 min.  We finally got to my sisters place around 7-8pm... just in time for some dinner, wine and rest!

 Day 2 - Friday
playing with Becky before dinner
Since nobody could decide what they wanted for dinner, we had to do some walking... yes, we walked down this VERY steep hill!  Deven was worried I'd let go of the stroller (like I'd ever do that), but he strapped me to the stroller... just in case
Finally at dinner... Madison was again such a good girl, she was perfectly quite and slept through the whole dinner... allowing us adults to eat, laugh and drink lots of wine (of course).

Day 3 - Saturday
on our way to Napa!!
Napa - woo hoo - too bad it's raining :(

SILVER OAK
 I love this place!
who are those beautiful ladies??

CLOS DU VAL
Time for lunch at Taylor's Refreshers... some of the best burgers (and shakes) I've ever had!

HEITZ WINERY

DOMAINE CHANDON
I was so bummed... we wanted Champagne (I know... it's not Champagne... Sparkling wine) but it was closed!  At least we got a few cute pics!

After a full day of wine tasting, we went back to the hotel to drink some more wine and eat some delicious cheese BEFORE dinner at Mustards Grill.
Becky probably didn't want me to post this, but tough...it was too funny not too!
Dinner was absolutely amazing!  We had great food, great wine and a waiter who was hitting on our husbands... yes, that's right... Becky and I were practically invisable to HIM, but he was rather chatty with Dan and Deven!

Day 4 - Sunday

We drove back to SF today and picked up my sister and the munchkin (who we missed sooooo much!) and met our friends for lunch downtown.  It was so nice to catch up, we haven't all been together since our wedding - over 4 years ago!!!
Then it was time to meet back up with Becky and Dan and head over to the pier for some pictures.  We had to get pics of Madison with the seals!  It was cold but Madison looked soooo cute all bundled up.  We took some pics, bought some fudge and people watched... so fun!
LOVE that smile!

Day 5 - Monday
trying to wake up her daddy
family pic by the bridge!
I can't even begin to explain how much fun this trip was!  I wish I could visit SF and Napa every month.  As always, it was so great visiting Misty and we were so lucky that she watched Madison, so we could go to Napa.  It was also so nice getting to visit with our friends Shonn and Ben and of course going to Napa with Becky and Dan was the best (since they live all the way in Chicago!!).   It was the 1st vacation we've been on in a while and it was very much needed.  San Fran, we'll be visiting you again very soon!!!
