Week 27 (round 2)

Well we are officially in the 3rd trimester!! It's so strange to think that in less than 3 months we are going to have our little girl here in our arms.  Things are starting to get a little more difficult - like bending over and picking up my 25lb munchkin or her toys a billion times a day (okay, I know it's not a billion, but it's a lot)
27 weeks 4 days
How our baby's growing:
This week, our baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, our baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

GOOD NEWS!  I heard back from my Dr. and I don't have gestational diabetes (which is always a relief) ALSO they tested me for cholestasis of pregnancy again (which is the reason I had to get induced with Madison - see here) and currently I don't have it - WOO HOO!  Now, there is no guarantee that I still won't get it (some reports say that there is a 90% chance of getting in again, if you already had it.  Plus last time I didn't get it until the last 6 weeks or so), but hopefully I'm in the clear...
